Melanie Payne has over 20 years of work experience in the commodities sector. Melanie started their career in 1996 as a Deputy Department Manager at John Lewis Partnership. In 2000, they moved to Upstream - Tech start up pioneering SMS mass marketing, where they worked as an Office Manager and Assistant to CEO/COO. In 2002, they joined Rinex Energy as an Operations Manager - Oil. In 2004, they were hired by Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director and COO for Oil, Europe. In 2015, they were hired by Castleton Commodities International as an Executive Director / Strategic Initiatives / Facilities Director. In 2019, they worked as a Consultant at Enterprise Commodity Services Limited. In 2020, they were hired by Energex Partners as a Senior Advisor and by Eve Energy Consulting Limited as a Director. In 2021, they worked as a Consultant - Business Manager/COO at Shell. Currently, they are Chief Operating Officer at Roscommon Analytics LLC.

Melanie Payne has a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Southampton, which they earned between 1993 and 1996. In 2019, they received a Diploma in Governance, Risk & Regulatory Compliance from Int.Dip (Governance, Risk & Compliance) & MICA - International Compliance Association. Most recently, in 2020-2021, they obtained a Certificate in KYC and CDD from the International Compliance Association.
