Koonal Bharadwaj is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience across various leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at Roon since April 2023, Koonal previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Rad AI from June 2022 to January 2023 and served as a Staff Software Engineer at Paige between June 2020 and June 2022. Prior to that, Koonal worked at HeartFlow, Inc from October 2011 to June 2020, where a range of roles included Manager of Engineering, Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Engineer Analyst. Early career contributions include research at Cornell University’s Cardiovascular Developmental Bioengineering Lab, emphasizing computational simulations of embryonic heart development, and experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at NASA Langley Research Center, focusing on satellite data integration and malaria prediction models.
