Udaya Rangaswamy

Director, Translational Biology at Rondo Therapeutics

Udaya Rangaswamy has a strong background in the biotechnology industry, with extensive work experience in various roles.

Starting in 2023, Udaya worked as the Director of Translational Biology at Rondo Therapeutics.

Prior to that, Udaya held roles at Amgen from 2021 to 2023. In this position, Udaya served as the Principal Scientist in Oncology, taking on responsibilities such as leading two bispecific T cell engager programs in AML and collaborating with various functional leads. Udaya also acted as a Senior Scientist in Oncology for a brief period.

From 2017 to 2021, Udaya worked at Teneobio, Inc. Udaya took on several roles during this time, including Senior Scientist in Discovery Research, Preclinical Development, and Research Scientist. In these positions, Udaya was responsible for delivering scientific data packages and leading projects in lead molecule characterization and screening.

Udaya began their career at MedImmune in 2014 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, where their research focused on oncolytic viruses and immunotherapy. Udaya successfully collaborated with team members and achieved authorship on multiple publications.

Before MedImmune, Udaya pursued their education at Emory University, where they were a Graduate Student in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, Udaya was a Graduate Student in Nutrition and Health Sciences from 2006 to 2008.

Udaya's career began as an Undergraduate Student in Industrial Biotechnology at Anna University Chennai from 2002 to 2006.

Udaya Rangaswamy completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, a four-year program that started in 2002 and ended in 2006. Following this, Udaya pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Emory University. This program began in 2006 and concluded in 2014.
