Julie Behr started their work experience in 2017 at Weill Cornell Medicine, where they served as a PHD Candidate in the Imielinski Lab. In this role, they analyzed Illumina WGS data from thousands of cancer genomes, developed computational models and pipelines, and collaborated on high impact projects published in Cell and Nature research journals. Julie continued this role at the New York Genome Center until 2021. In 2021, they joined ROME Therapeutics as a Data Scientist.
Julie Behr obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. Julie then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioengineering, also from Penn State University. Following their master's degree, they enrolled at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Biology.
