Diana Spijkerman is a marketing and communication advisor at ROM Utrecht Region since July 2023, with prior experience as a health innovator at MedScaler from September 2022 to May 2023, focusing on scaling MedTech and Digital Health innovation. Diana completed a research internship at UMC Utrecht in early 2022, contributing to the 'Genetics in Transition' project, and also held a research internship at the Society for Applied Microbiology in 2021 aimed at enhancing microbiology literacy. Early career roles include positions at Doen Horeca Uitzendbureau and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, providing support and guidance to secondary school students. Diana holds a Master's degree in Management, Policy Analysis, and Entrepreneurship for Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Natural Sciences from the same institution. Additional educational experiences include an Erasmus program at the University of Oslo and a minor in Science, Business, and Innovation.
