Gopal Sundaram is a Senior Software Engineer at Roku Inc. since May 2017, with prior experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Verizon Digital Media Services, where responsibilities included architecting end-to-end live event monitoring for the go90 mobile video product using AWS and leading security efforts for backend services. Gopal spent over 16 years at Microsoft, serving as a Tech Lead and Lead Software Design Engineer, focusing on offline processing for product listing ads, architecting a robust Video-on-Demand system for Microsoft Mediaroom, and contributing to various features for the Microsoft TV platform. Earlier career experience includes positions at Sony as a Senior Software Consultant and at Adaptive Media as a Software Consultant. Gopal holds an M Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
