Don B. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Don started their career as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1972 to 1976. After that, they worked as a Field Research Assistant at Southern Illinois University from 1980 to 1982. Don then joined the Illinois State Water Survey as a Field Researcher from 1984 to 1986. In 1988, they joined the IL Department of Natural Resources as a Reclamation Specialist, working there until 1996. From 1996 to 2008, Don served as a Regional Director and later as Director of Field Operations at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Don then moved up to become Vice President of Eastern Operations from 2010 to 2018. Currently, Don holds the position of Director of Eastern Operations at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, which they assumed in 2019.
Don B. attended Lincoln Land Community College from 1976 to 1977, where they pursued general studies. Don later enrolled in Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, where they studied geology from 1978 to 1982 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in geology.
