Since joining Rockman et al in 2014, Claire has worked with large and small museums, historic sites, and media companies to measure the value of their programs and gather feedback from their participants. Her work includes formative testing of media products and exhibit concepts as well as summative studies of program impacts. Claire has also worked on numerous projects involving teacher professional development. Many of her projects are funded by NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) awards and grants from private foundations. She is an active member of the Visitor Studies Association’s Professional Development Work Group, creating professional learning opportunities for members and the larger field. Claire’s interest in museums stems from earning a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and completing numerous museum internships during her graduate studies. She also holds an MA in Anthropology from IU Bloomington and a BA in Archaeology from Boston University.
