George Couto has extensive experience in the banking industry. George started their career at BankBoston as a Small Business Credit Analyst in 1994. George then joined FIRSTFED as the Small Business Portfolio Manager in 2000, where they remained until 2006. George then moved to Bank Rhode Island, taking on the role of VP/Small Business Underwriting Manager from 2006 to 2008. George joined Rockland Trust in 2008 as a Vice President, and later served as VP - New Markets Tax Credit/SBA Lending from 2010 to 2015. George is currently the VP, Commercial Leasing & SBA Lending at Rockland Trust.

George Couto obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in the years 1989 to 1993. George also attended Somerset High School, although no further information about their education at that institution is available.
