David Cournoyer

Senior Vice President - Commercial Credit Administration And Operations Officer at Rockland Trust

David Cournoyer has a diverse range of work experience in the banking and finance industry. David began their career as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch from 1985 to 1989. David then worked as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Eastland Bank from 1989 to 1991. From 1992 to 2004, they held the position of Vice President at Fleet Capital Corporation, where they managed the Commercial Lease Documentation department and actively participated in customer calls and loan/lease structuring.

In 2004, David joined Bank of America as a Senior Vice President, where they served as the Group Operations Manager and later as the Documentation Manager until 2008. David'sresponsibilities included closing and servicing commercial loan and lease transactions, assisting relationship managers with loan structuring, and participating in Bank of America's mentoring program.

Following their tenure at Bank of America, David worked at The Milford National Bank and Trust Company from 2008 to 2018, first as a Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. David oversaw a staff of Commercial Credit Officers and Residential Mortgage Underwriters, managed the credit pipeline for loan proposals, and reviewed loan structures and covenants.

Since 2018, David has been employed at Rockland Trust, initially serving as a Commercial Credit Consultant, where they collaborated with senior management to create a new Commercial Business Underwriting and Decisioning Unit. David coordinated efforts among various departments to meet project deadlines and ensured project success. David was also a member of the Project Steering Committee responsible for project strategy and major decision approvals. David then progressed to become a First Vice President, overseeing the consolidated Commercial Credit Administration and Operations Department. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President, responsible for the oversight of several departments within the Commercial Banking Division, including Credit Administration, Credit Operations, Real Estate Appraisal Review, and Environmental Risk. David'srole involves managing employees with various responsibilities and grade levels and requires extensive knowledge of operational issues, commercial lending, and credit underwriting functions.

David Cournoyer attended Rhode Island College from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Economics.
