Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where involvement includes the development of hardware for Digital Vision Touch interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previous roles at SMART include firmware engineering, contributing to the development of firmware and diagnostic tools for the same product line. Prior experience includes serving as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational devices, and working as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting electronic circuits courses. Earlier work as an electronics engineer at Grindcom involved the development of control systems for forestry harvesters, encompassing circuit design and software development. Chris Nicol holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
