Margaret Fontaine

Combat Robotics: 3lb Czar at RoboJackets

Margaret Fontaine is currently a mechanical member of the Combat Robotics team at RoboJackets, specializing in the design and manufacture of a 15lb robot and managing the 3lb training program. At the Georgia Tech Research Institute, Margaret serves as an undergraduate research assistant, focusing on hydrogel materials for underwater high-pressure environments and contributing to the development of a lunar rover for NASA's RASC-AL competition. Additionally, Margaret is involved in research for the MRI-Guided Spinal Injection Robot in the Biorobotics and Human Modeling Research Lab. As a resident assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, Margaret promotes community and mental health among students. Previous roles include serving as president of the Georgia FIRST CTSO, corporate relations board member for ASME, and co-director of the Build Brave Girls program. Margaret obtained a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and aims for a Master of Engineering.
