Daniel Vellek is an experienced compliance professional currently serving as the Interim Chief Compliance Officer for Robinhood Money, following a progressive career in credit card compliance at the company. Prior to joining Robinhood in July 2023, Daniel held the position of Deputy Compliance Officer at X1, which was acquired by Robinhood, and crafted compliance initiatives across various projects. Previous roles include Director of Compliance and Senior Manager of Credit Compliance at Bluestem Brands, where oversight of several compliance programs took place. Additionally, Daniel has experience as a Model Analyst at First National Bank of Omaha and has held multiple analytical roles in data science and compliance throughout their career. Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Statistics and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University.
