Niels Baijer has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Niels started their career in 2004 as a Newsboy at Broos Verspreidingen. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at Kwekerij De Watertoren, initially as a Saturday Job and later as a Production Worker, where they gained more responsibilities in production and also coached other employees.
In 2008, Niels joined Poelier Hein Bayer as a Salesman. Niels'srole expanded to include Online Marketing, where they managed the company's Facebook page, website, and responded to customer emails. Niels continued working at Poelier Hein Bayer until 2019.

Niels Baijer's education history begins with their primary school education at St. Aloysius from 1997 to 2004. After completing their primary education, they attended ISW Gasthuislaan-Madeweg for their Pre-University Secondary Education (VWO) from 2004 to 2010, where they studied Economics and Society (E&M).
Following their secondary education, Niels enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Business Economics from 2010 to 2014. Niels continued their studies at the same institution and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics and Business: Marketing from 2014 to 2018.
During their time at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Niels also pursued another Master of Science (MSc) degree, this time in Economics and Business: Behavioural Economics, completing it from 2015 to 2018.
In addition to their academic degrees, Niels also obtained several certifications. In 2019, they received the Professional Scrum Master 1 certification from Scrum.org. In 2020, they obtained the Qlik Sense Business Analyst Qualification from Qlik, and later in 2023, they obtained the Unconscious Bias certification from LinkedIn.
