Maria Putintseva has a diverse work experience in the field of finance and data analysis. Maria is currently working as a Senior ESG Data Scientist at Robeco since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Vontobel Asset Management, where they held the roles of Head of Production from December 2019 to February 2021, and Quantitative Analyst from January 2017 to November 2019. Before joining Vontobel Asset Management, they worked at Vescore as a Quantitative Analyst from January 2015 to December 2016. Maria also worked as a Risk Manager at Nationale Suisse from April 2013 to December 2014. Maria began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Zurich - Department of Banking and Finance, where they worked from September 2009 to March 2013.

Maria Putintseva has a strong educational background in finance and economics. Maria began their academic journey at Novosibirsk State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics between 2002 and 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts in Economics at the New Economic School from 2006 to 2008, with a focus on econometrics, finance, and economic policy. Maria continued to advance their knowledge and expertise by earning a Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute/University of Zurich, which they completed from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Maria also completed a certification course in Chinese for beginners through Coursera in May 2018.
