Violaine Michel is a highly experienced violin instructor and performer with a diverse background in music and education. Currently serving as a Violin Instructor at Shady Grove Center for Creative Arts since August 2016 and as a Violinist with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra since September 2013, Violaine also maintains an independent career as a violinist and teacher since 1990. Previous roles include Per Service Violinist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra (2021-2022) and a French teacher at Heartwood Grove School (2012-2017). Violaine's performance experience also encompasses various orchestras, including OSTR-Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières and Orchestre symphonique de Laval. Violaine holds a Licence in English with a focus on teaching French as a foreign language from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III, along with several first prizes in violin and chamber music from French conservatories.
