Joni V. is a Senior Research Scientist at Roal Oy since February 2023, previously serving as a Data Scientist at Veikkaus Oy and Nordic Healthcare Group, where Joni acted as the principal biostatistician conducting Real-World Evidence studies for pharma companies. Prior experience includes a Data Scientist role at Nightingale Health focused on blood biomarker analysis and machine learning model development, and a Scientific Researcher/PhD student position at the University of Helsinki, uncovering molecular mechanisms of diseases using biomolecular simulations and data science. Joni has also contributed as a Teaching Assistant at both the University of Helsinki and Tampere University of Technology, facilitating courses in Biological Physics and Nanophysics. Joni holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Helsinki and an MS in Biophysics from Tampere University of Technology.
