Kate Fennessy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kate is currently working at RMIT Training as the Associate Director of Communications. Prior to this, they worked as a Content Strategy Partner at Salt & Fuessel from 2020 to 2021. Kate also held the position of Director at Paperboat Digital from 2015 to 2021. Additionally, Kate served as the Head of Content at Redhanded Creative from 2015 to 2017 and as a Digital Content Manager at Noisy Beast from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Industry Liaison Officer - Partnerships at Inner Eastern Local Learning & Employment Network, School Focused Youth Service Coordinator at Stonnington Council, and Community Liaison Officer at headspace Southern Melbourne. Kate also worked as a Youth Voice Project Coordinator at Youth Voice Project in 2007.
Kate Fennessy attended Star of the Sea College in Gardenvale from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained their VCE. Kate then went on to study at Monash University from 1997 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons) degree with a focus on Japanese Language & English Literature. In 2023, Kate Fennessy obtained a certification in Advancing Reconciliation from RMIT University.
