Amit Pattnaik has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 13 years. Amit is currently the Head of Sales (Informit) at RMIT Training, a position they started in November 2019. Prior to this, in 2018, Amit was a Co-Founder of Whisky Project, where they aimed to create a website to simplify whisky knowledge and make it more approachable. From 2018 to 2019, they also served as a Mentor at Mentor Collective, providing practical life lessons and guidance to students from their former school.

From 2016 to 2019, Amit worked at McGraw-Hill, initially as an Enterprise Solutions Manager for VIC, SA, and WA, where they helped instructors utilize EdTech and proposed solutions to improve teaching efficiency and student outcomes. Amit then transitioned to the role of Enterprise Key Account Manager for Australia and NZ, managing university partnerships and digital library projects.

Between 2014 and 2016, Amit was the Sales and Marketing Manager for ANZ at CoInfo, managing library accounts and helping publishers make collection decisions. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, they served as the National Manager - Corporate Accounts and Business Development (Medical & Law) at The Co-op, where they focused on key accounts and relationship management.

Amit's earlier experiences include working as Marketing Consultant at Interior Productions from 2008 to 2012, and serving as Team Leader - Marking Projects at Pearson Research & Assessment from 2009 to 2011. Amit began their career as a Technical Support Representative at HGS - Hinduja Global Solutions from 2006 to 2008.

Amit Pattnaik has a diverse educational background. Amit started their education by completing Year 10 at Stewart School - India from 1991 to 2001, focusing on the field of Science. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Bangalore University from 2003 to 2006.

In 2008, Amit enrolled at Swinburne University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Business in International Business. Concurrently, they also pursued a Master of Science in Leadership from Northeastern University, completing both degrees in 2010.

To further enhance their knowledge and skills, Amit pursued an MBA in Sustainable Management at Anaheim University from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Amit has obtained several certifications to strengthen their expertise. Amit completed "Advancing Reconciliation" from RMIT University in June 2023, and in October 2021, they obtained the certification of "Standard Mental Health First Aider" from Mental Health First Aid Australia.

Between 2017 and 2019, Amit acquired a variety of management-related certifications from LinkedIn, including "Become a Manager," "Coaching and Developing Employees," "Delegating Tasks," "Leading Productive Meetings," "New Manager Foundations," "Performance Management: Conducting Performance Reviews," "Performance Management: Setting Goals and Managing Performance," "Storytelling with Data," "Strategic Thinking," and "Transitioning from Individual Contributor to Manager."

Furthermore, Amit earned additional certifications earlier, such as "Delegating Tasks to Your Team" from LinkedIn in February 2018, "Hiring Your Team" from LinkedIn in January 2017, "New Manager Foundations" from LinkedIn in January 2017, "Onboarding New Hires" from LinkedIn in January 2017, "Teaching Techniques: Blended Learning" from LinkedIn in January 2017, and "The Neuroscience of Learning" from LinkedIn in January 2017.

Lastly, Amit obtained another notable certification, "The Age of Sustainable Development," from Columbia University in the City of New York in June 2015.
