Liane Smith is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience as a Senior Legal Counsel at Royal London since June 2013, specializing in product and regulatory matters, litigation, distribution, agency, and consumer rights. Prior to this role, Liane worked at Lloyds Banking Group as an In-house Lawyer in the Life Pensions and Investments, Insurance division from February 2011 to June 2013, providing legal advice on life and investment products for various brands including Scottish Widows and Bank of Scotland. Liane began their career at Morton Fraser, where experience included positions as a Solicitor and Trainee Solicitor from September 2006 to February 2011. Academic qualifications include an LLB in Law and French Law and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen, along with a Diploma in French Law from Université d'Auvergne.
