Cindy Vestergaard has a strong background in international security and research. Cindy currently serves as the Vice President of Special Projects & External Relations at RKVST, Inc. Prior to this role, they worked at The Stimson Center as the Director of the Nuclear Safeguards Program and Director of the Blockchain in Practice program. Cindy also had a Visiting Fellow position at the Center for International Security Studies at the University of Sydney and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Cindy began their career as a researcher and PhD candidate at the Danish Institute for International Studies. Additionally, they gained experience as an External Lecturer at the University of Copenhagen and held various positions at the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, including Senior Policy Advisor and Programme Officer. Cindy also worked as a Political Officer at the Canadian Mission to Hungary and Slovenia. Cindy Vestergaard obtained their Bachelor's degree in International Relations from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Cindy then pursued a Master's degree in International Relations and European Studies at the Central European University, attending from 2000 to 2001. Cindy furthered their education at the University of Copenhagen, undertaking a PhD program in Political Science from 2007 to 2010.
