Nelson Ching-Yu Chu has a solid work experience in the software engineering field. Nelson Ching-Yu is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Rivos Inc. since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at SiFive as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2019 to August 2022. Nelson also had experience as a System Integration Engineer at “°l¿Æ where they resolved integration problems and ensured the quality of Android image for Amazon FireTV SI. Nelson Ching-Yu worked in this role from May 2019 to August 2019. Nelson's earlier experience includes working as an Advanced Software Engineer at Andes Technology Corporation from January 2016 to December 2018, where they made upstream contributions for NDS32 binutils and gained development experience for GNU assembler and linker.

Nelson Ching-Yu Chu completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan Normal University, attending from 2008 to 2013. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering at National Chiao Tung University, completing it from 2013 to 2015.
