Jason Ovanic is an experienced professional in mine planning and design, currently serving as Manager of Mine Planning and Design at RiverStone Group, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this role, Jason held positions including Mine Planning Engineer III at The Doe Run Company and Chief Mining Engineer at Covia, where contributions included developing short and long-range mine plans using Hexigon and MineSight Mine Plan 3D. Jason began their career in various engineering roles, culminating with a doctoral degree in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University, and earlier degrees in Geological and Mining Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
