Roland Whitehead is an experienced technical coordinator, currently working on the WEFO funded Circular Revolution project at Riversimple and CIrcular Revolution since September 2021, focusing on the development of circular economy and open source blockchain tools for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Prior to this, Roland served as CEO of Quru from September 2007 to February 2020, leading a company specializing in open source solutions and bespoke enterprise software, and establishing partnerships with major organizations like Red Hat and MariaDB. Roland's extensive background includes roles as CIO/CTO at Bonhams, where oversight of global technology operations was a key responsibility, and as Principal at CONTINUUM ID, collaborating with high-profile clients across various industries. Early career experience includes working as an industrial designer at PA Design. Roland holds multiple degrees in industrial design engineering from institutions such as the Royal College of Art, Imperial College London, and the University of Southampton, along with foundational education from Eton College.
