Raunak Khisty, MD, MPH, FAPA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of psychiatry and public health. Raunak is currently working at Riverside Healthcare, where they hold multiple roles including Vice Chief of the Behavioral Health Service Line, Director of Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction, and Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program. Raunak has been with the company since 2017, initially serving as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and later becoming the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction. In addition, Dr. Khisty is also an Adjunct Instructor at Rush University Medical Center since 2021 and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford since 2021. Prior to these positions, they worked as a Staff Psychiatrist at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas, in 2017. Dr. Khisty gained valuable experience during their fellowship and residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health, where they served as the Chief Fellow of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow, and the Chief Resident of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. Raunak also worked as a Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2011 and held various roles as a Research Assistant, Research Associate, and Graduate Assistant at the School of Public Health, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 2010 to 2012. Their professional journey began as an Intern at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in India in 2008. Raunak Khisty, MD, MPH, FAPA has an extensive education history in the field of psychiatry and public health. Raunak completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad, India from 2003 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Epidemiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) from 2009 to 2012.
Dr. Khisty continued their education at Wake Forest University where they completed their Psychiatry Residency Program from 2012 to 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Wake Forest University from 2015 to 2017.
In addition to their educational achievements, Dr. Khisty has obtained multiple certifications. Raunak is certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM), which they obtained in January 2021. Raunak is also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, conferred by the American Psychiatric Association in January 2021. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., in September 2017 and September 2016, respectively.
