Avery Hernandez has a diverse background in education, research, and healthcare. As an intern at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital since December 2019, Avery has gained valuable experience in a clinical setting. A teaching assistant role at The Riverside Church, beginning in October 2004, involves working hands-on with children to help develop their confidence in performing arts, while also teaching students through a nonprofit organization on weekends. Previously, Avery served as a parent coach at Power of Two and worked as a research assistant at City College of New York, conducting studies on animal subjects and presenting research at conferences. Additional experience includes shadowing physician assistants at New York Methodist Hospital Center For Allied Health Education. Avery holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hunter College and pursued advanced nursing education at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
