Katy Patton has worked in the advertising industry since 2002, starting as an Account Executive at Laws Hall & Associates. In 2003, they moved to LM&O Advertising as a Copywriter, where they were responsible for concepting campaigns, creating new brands, drafting persuasive copy, and writing for various media. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Copywriter at Blue Advertising - Edelman's advertising subsidiary, where they crafted award-winning advertising and produced more than just words. In 2019, they became the Copy Director at Rivers Agency.

Katy Patton obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in 2003 from Miami University, where they majored in Marketing and minored in French. In 2021, they obtained a Professional Education: miniMBA certification from Miami University.
