Birgit Dekkers has a diverse work experience. Birgit is currently a Co-Founder at Rival Foods since July 2019. Before that, they worked at Wageningen University & Research as a Researcher from September 2018 to August 2019 and as a PhD Candidate from September 2014 to August 2018. Birgit started their career at Nestle S.A. as a Trainee from September 2013 to June 2014.

Birgit Dekkers completed their Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition at Wageningen University & Research from 2009 to 2012. Birgit then pursued a Master's Degree in Food Science and Technology through the European Master in Food Studies program from 2012 to 2014. In 2013, they also briefly attended Lund University.
