Sham Thanekar is a Climate Finance Engineer at riskthinking.AI since June 2023, specializing in climate scenario analysis, including transition and physical risk assessments, corporate climate strategy, and alignment with climate regulations such as TCFD, IFRS S2, and ESRS. Prior to this role, Sham was a PhD candidate at Penn State University from August 2015 to December 2021 and served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2013 to May 2015. Sham holds a Master of Science in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as both a Bachelor of Technology and a Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
