Sara Quiroz has over nine years of professional experience. Sara began their career in 2010 as an Office Manager/Outreach Coordinator for The Pratt Center for Community Development. In 2011, they took on the role of Circulation and Technical Services Assistant at Brooklyn Law School, as well as a Correctional Services Librarian at the New York Public Library. Sara was responsible for developing and organizing library collections, book selection and procurement, and assisting with the Daddy and Me family literacy program. In 2012, they became a Job and Business Academy Manager and Outreach Librarian at Queens Library. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Library Director and Librarian at the International Culinary Center. Most recently, they have been a Territory Sales Executive - Rishi East at Rishi Tea & Botanicals since 2019.
Sara Quiroz has an extensive education history. Sara obtained a Bachelors of Arts from The Evergreen State College in 2007, majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities. Sara also participated in The Scholar Ship program in 2007, studying Global Cultures and Social Change. In 2009, they earned a Masters of Information and Library Science from The Pratt Institute in Library Science. In 2017, they completed an Intensive Sommelier Training Diploma from the International Culinary Center. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications, a Culinary Techniques certification from the International Culinary Center in 2015 and an Introductory Sommelier Course certification from The Court of Master Sommeliers.
