Dotan Reis has worked in a variety of roles since 2013. Dotan began their career as a Fundraiser at Adam Teva ve'Din environmental association in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Game Developer at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2015, they worked as a Web Programmer at Aarhus University. In 2016, they worked as a Big Data Engineer at HERE, where they created automated infrastructure creation and updates using Terraform, Jenkins, Python, Ansible, Packer (on AWS) and wrote and ran automated jobs using Airflow, Jenkins. Dotan also wrote compilers for maps from HERE proprietary format to OSM. Additionally, in 2016, they worked on a personal project called Kotarot.org, an aggregated news feed that shows updates from all news outlets in Israel, clustered by topics. Finally, in 2019, they joined riseup as a Software Engineer, where they are on a mission to be everything that people need to riseup financially.

Dotan Reis has a Master's degree in Philosophy and History of Science and Idea from Tel Aviv University, which they are currently pursuing. Dotan also holds two Bachelor's Degrees from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, one in Cognitive Science and one in Computer Science. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Aarhus University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016.
