We make a point to bring empathy to each and every project and are guided by a promise and a purpose: to deploy critical outcomes to prod in order to drive relentless progress. Not just an idea. Rise8 is certified as with 100% of employees saying they love working here.
At Rise8, we inspire change in software cultures to prioritize rapid delivery of end-user outcomes. As a Designer here, you'll transform clients unfamiliar with design-thinking and user research into agile and empathetic problem-solvers. Your role involves hands-on work and mentorship around User Centered Design principles, "double diamond" processes, and establishment of feedback loops through research and prototyping.
We value versatile, "full stack" Product Designers that own the holistic user experience for their product or service. Our Designers are researchers, service designers, brand strategists, and interface designers, all in one. Each project will require a different blend of skills depending on client needs. While not required to be an expert in all areas, a growth mindset to develop in less familiar domains is essential.
Designers will spend most of their time embedded in a cross-functional team for a single product or service. As such, we come together as a broader Rise8 design community to share and evolve our practices across teams.
Because Rise8 is a professional services company focused on improving the software delivery practices of customer organizations, growing in your career here means having more of an impact as a consultant.
At Rise8, our Staff Product Designers are expected to be “full-stack” design leads that have an impact across multiple teams. Staff Product Designers are typically working with customer design leaders helping transform the culture of their design organizations. Depending on customer needs, the role could be a mixture of design product leadership and design people leadership. As a product leader, a Staff Product Designer may help contribute to greater design consistency across products in a software portfolio, scale an organization’s research operations, and evaluate the user experience across an ecosystem of processes to define project intake and portfolio strategy. On the people and practice-focused side, a Staff Product Designer may coach and mentor other designers, create onboarding programs, and cultivate a learning environment where designers grow and thrive in their practices.
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $156,696.12 to $235,044.18 regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
All of Rise8’s work in this area is with Federal Government customers that require our employees involved with their projects be U.S. citizens. As such, this role requires U.S. citizenship. If hired, you would also be required to go through a background investigation.
