James Wallis is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the fintech and blockchain sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of RippleX at Ripple, James has focused on central bank engagements and the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) since May 2019, prior to which James held the position of Vice President Global Sales Strategy & Operations. James is also the founder of 7e4 LLC, which specializes in providing strategic advice centered on blockchain and distributed ledger technology. Previously, James contributed to IBM for over 17 years, co-founding the company’s blockchain business and leading global operations as Vice President, Blockchain. Additionally, James held multiple leadership roles at IBM, including Vice President for the Global Payments Industry and Vice President of Enterprise Software Sales and Services, driving significant revenue growth and operational efficiency. James earned a BSc (Hons) in Managerial Sciences from the University of Bradford School of Management.
