Maria Fernanda Martinez

President, Executive Director, Founder at RioProgress

Maria Fernanda Martinez serves as the Executive Director at RioProgress since January 2021, with a robust background in education and curriculum development. Previous roles include Technology Trainer at Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP, and History Teacher at South Texas Independent School District. Martinez has also contributed to curriculum development for Unpacking and coordinated Creativity, Activity, and Service programs at IDEA Public Schools. Early career experiences include mentoring and directing curriculum at The WomanHOOD Project and internships with the U.S. House of Representatives and the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education - EdD in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University, Maria Fernanda Martinez holds degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Columbia University.
