Patrick Rourke is a seasoned finance and business development leader with extensive experience in the mining and metals sector. Currently serving as the General Manager of Business Development at Rio Tinto, Patrick oversees business initiatives for Rio Tinto Copper. Previous roles include Chief of Staff for Strategy & Development, General Manager of Finance for Copper and Diamonds, and CFO for Argyle Diamonds, where Patrick led various financial committees and governance boards. At Trafigura, Patrick held the position of Principal Controller for Copper and Coal and was responsible for the development and execution of trading strategies. Earlier experience at Deloitte included serving as a Corporate Finance Analyst, and at HSBC, Patrick managed climate change and sustainability initiatives. Patrick holds multiple qualifications, including Chartered Accountant status from ICAEW, governance certifications, and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia. Additionally, Patrick completed a Certificate in Global Management at INSEAD.
