Lara Spriggs is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in geotechnics and tailings management. Currently serving as a Senior Tailings Engineer at Rio Tinto since May 2022, Lara has held multiple senior engineering roles, including Senior Geotechnical Engineer at GHD and FSG Geotechnics & Foundations, as well as at WSP in Australia. Lara's career began at Aurecon as a Geotechnical Engineer. Lara holds dual degrees from the University of Adelaide, including a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geophysics, both obtained between 2002 and 2006.
