Kabelo Leeka is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mining and metals industry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Asset Management Transformation at Rio Tinto since July 2019. In this role, Kabelo supports asset performance improvement through the implementation of the Asset Management framework and its integration with the Safe Production System. Previously, Kabelo held significant positions at Rio Tinto, including Senior Manager of Operational Excellence and acting General Manager of Productivity, where responsibilities included leading productivity improvements and driving systematic operational enhancements. Kabelo's career also includes project management at Anglo American, focusing on the Anglo Operating Model, and serving in various engineering roles at both Anglo American and ArcelorMittal, emphasizing process optimization and project leadership. Kabelo holds an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences and a BSc(Eng) in Metallurgy and Materials from the University of the Witwatersrand.
