Eddie Dumpit is an experienced professional in the mining and resources industry, currently serving as a Principal Advisor and HSE Superintendent for Major Underground Hazards Assurance at Rio Tinto since October 2019. Previously held the role of HSE Superintendent for Shaft Sinking at Oyu Tolgoi LLC from January 2017 to October 2019, and worked as a Safety Specialist at Rio Tinto's Zululand Anthracite Colliery. Eddie has significant experience in safety, operations management, and risk reduction, having led critical safety programs at Rio Tinto Coal Mozambique and supervised coal processing operations at Hail Creek Mine. Eddie's career began as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic at Rio Tinto Coal Australia, where foundational skills in equipment maintenance and operations were developed. Eddie holds an Electrical Fitter Mechanic degree from Emerald College.
