Charles-Alexandre Zimmermann is a seasoned executive in project management with extensive experience in the mining and oil sectors. Currently serving as Head of Projects at Rio Tinto since August 2018, Charles-Alexandre oversees major projects in Aluminium, Copper, and Diamonds, ensuring the safe execution of significant capital investments globally. Prior to this role, Charles-Alexandre held various key positions at BP from 2001 to 2017, including Vice President of Projects in Egypt and Project General Manager for Trinidad Offshore Projects, where notable achievements included the successful execution of the West Nile Delta project and the Juniper subsea development. Charles-Alexandre's technical background is supported by a Master’s Degree in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ESTP - Grande école d'ingénieurs de la construction.
