Elizabeth Adamson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Elizabeth has worked in various roles and positions in different healthcare organizations. Adamson started their career as a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Advocate Health Care in 1995. Elizabeth then moved to Baylor Scott & White Health, where they served as a PeriOperative and Critical Care Registered Nurse Manager from 1998 to 2005.
In 2005, Adamson joined Doctors Hospital at Renaissance as a Clinical Informatics Analyst and later took on roles such as Director of Clinical Informatics and EMR Program Manager and Vice President Of Information Services and Chief Nursing Information Officer. Elizabeth worked at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance until 2019.
Adamson then joined DHR Health as Vice President, Chief Experience Officer in 2019, a position they held until 2021. Elizabeth also served as the Director of Technology Services at RioOne Health Information Exchange from 2011 to 2016.
Additionally, Adamson worked at HCA Healthcare as the Director of Patient Experience from 2021 to 2022 and Director of Women's Services from 2022 to 2023. Elizabeth is currently working as the Director of Clinical Operations at Rio Grande Regional Hospital since 2023.
In 2018, Adamson joined The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley as an Adjunct Professor.
Throughout their career, Adamson has acquired several degrees and certifications, including a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Doctor of Nursing Innovation (DNI), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed), Registered Nurse (RN), and Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS).
Elizabeth Adamson, DNP, DNI, MSN, MSN-Ed, RN, CPHIMS has studied at multiple institutions to obtain their education and degrees. Elizabeth attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), where they pursued a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and a Doctorate in Nursing Informatics, with a focus on Nursing Executive Leadership. In addition to this, they also studied at The University of Texas at Arlington, where they earned a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Administration and Education. Elizabeth'seducation background reflects their dedication to both the clinical and administrative aspects of nursing, as well as their interest in leadership and informatics in the field.
