Avery Allen is currently a Graduate Clinician at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in adult neurogenic communication treatment, including aphasia and accent modification therapies. Additionally, Avery serves as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, contributing to research on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) under Dr. Shi-Long Lu. Responsibilities include investigating methylated microRNA signatures and developing biomarkers for patient surveillance. Previous experience includes roles as Clinical Research Coordinator, managing patient care and study progress, and as a Bartender at Rio Grande Mexican Restaurants. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and ongoing Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Colorado Boulder.
