Gregg Hamerschlag

Gregg is the founder and CEO of Primary Wave Media, an alternative asset and intellectual property licensing and acquisition company and the parent company of RingBoost. Gregg manages the firm’s overall strategic planning efforts and has direct responsibility for numerous client relationships.

An early pioneer in telephony intellectual property licensing, Gregg has signed thousands of licensing agreements with local and national advertisers in multiple industries including 1-800-CABLE-TV, 1-800-WIRELESS, 1-800-HOMECARE and 1-800-HOSPICE. Gregg has also successfully negotiated long-term licensing agreements premier companies such as Time Warner, AT&T Wireless, Comcast, Bank of America and many others.

In addition to his work with RingBoost, Gregg is a founding partner of Primary Wave Music Publishing and Primary Wave Entertainment, a global music publisher that acquired culturally important iconic catalogs from artists such as Kurt Cobain/Nirvana, Steven Tyler/Aerosmith, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Chicago. Primary Wave Entertainment is currently one of the largest independent music & entertainment marketing, talent management and music publishing companies in the United States.

Earlier in his career, Gregg founded and was Chairman and CEO of Priority Home Care, Inc., one of the largest privately held home health care companies in the Northeast, which he sold in 2003. Prior to that, he individually owned a seat on New York Futures Exchange and successfully traded proprietary risk arbitrage for ten years.

Gregg graduated Cum Laude from SUNY Albany with a BBA in marketing and finance and serves on the board of the Westchester UJA business board and served on the Greeley High School Scholarship Fund. Gregg coached travel baseball for his three sons and is active in a wide range of charitable and community organizations. He was a New York State Certified EMT and CVAC volunteer for seven years.
