Jordan Ell has worked in the technology industry since 2010. In 2010, they were an Environment Support at IBM, and worked on the deployment and maintenance of servers. Jordan also created a single sign on authentication system across Unix and Linux platforms and a OS and middle ware patch management system with website front end. That same year, they were also a Software Developer at James Evans and Associates, where they developed Oracle Forms as a front end for pension management systems and created "Smart Letters" which use an Oracle Database to generate a large set of letters filled in with stakeholder information using SQL.
In 2012, they became a Researcher at the University of Victoria, where they worked on problems in the realm of indirect conflicts with awareness. In 2014, they were a Software Developer at Ruboss, where they worked on 3 major projects, and was the lead developer on a photography e-commerce platform written with React and Ruby on Rails. Jordan was also a Software Developer at Latitude Geographics, where they worked on a HTML5 based viewer for the GeoCrotex mapping platform written with TypeScript.
In 2016, they became the Lead Software Developer at The Artona Group Inc., where they created the Artona website for photo shoot booking and payments, and created the REST API backend for the APE Lambda photo package purchasing app. Jordan also maintained several React + Nodejs applications.
In 2018, they became the Owner of Jordan Ell Consulting, where they were building elegant software solutions through trusted technologies. Projects included creating the "Genesis" web platform for automatic photo retouching and the YPCR website on the Wordpress platform. That same year, they also became the Director at Large of the Young Professionals of Campbell River, where they were helping drive real change within the community.
In 2019, they became the Vice President of Innovation Island Technology Association. In 2013, they were the CTO and Director of Technology at Riipen, where they were working on the Riipen.com website and creating a new platform for students.
Jordan Ell completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science at the University of Victoria from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science at the University of Victoria from 2008 to 2013.
