Lauryn Garcia is a User Experience Designer at Rootworks (now Rightworks) since November 2021, following experience as Project Manager at Silicon Valley Insight from March to November 2021. Previously, Lauryn served as Clinical Crisis Manager at the San Antonio Police Department, where a program was developed to reduce 911 calls and Emergency Mental Health Detentions in a city of over 2.6 million. Lauryn's background also includes roles such as Director of Admissions at San Antonio State Hospital, Director of Social Services at Kindred Healthcare, and Employment Specialist at YWCA Billings. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work from Baylor University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, along with design education from Designlab and the Austin Center for Design.
