Manager Public Funding & Public Affairs at RIFT

Jan Hubers has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2023 to the present, Jan Hubers has been working at RIFT as the Manager of Public Funding & Public Affairs.

Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, Jan Hubers worked at The Future BV as a Managing Consultant and later as an Innovation & Subsidy Consultant. In these roles, they provided advice to startups, SMEs, and public organizations on setting up, developing, and funding innovation projects. This included advising on subsidies, attracting partners, defining project activities, and preparing and submitting subsidy applications.

From 2017 to 2020, Jan Hubers held multiple positions at Eindhoven University of Technology. Jan worked as a Program Manager for AI for Industry, a Business Developer for ICT/Data Science at TU/e Innovation Lab, and a Project Manager for TU/e SURE Innovation. In these roles, they were involved in knowledge transfer, creating societal value, advising startups on business plans, technological roadmaps, funding, and partnerships, and managing innovation projects for external organizations.

Lastly, from 2015 to 2017, Jan Hubers was a member of the Admission Board at Sure Innovation, where they interviewed student applicants and contributed to strategic decision-making and policy creation. Additionally, they worked as a Project Engineer/Consultant, working on innovative projects for various clients, writing grant applications, conducting market research, defining product requirements, and formulating market and sales strategies.

Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university in 2015. In addition, Jan also pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Technical Innovation Sciences from Eindhoven University of Technology from 2011 to 2012.
