Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Beam

Parvez Islam has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Parvez is currently working as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Beam Mobility since December 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Pi Software & Consulting Services in July 2021. Parvez also worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Semtrio from March 2022 to December 2022.

Before their recent roles, Parvez held various positions in different companies. Parvez worked at Copperleaf Technologies as a Value Framework Developer from January 2020 to July 2020, and as a Software Developer In Test from September 2019 to January 2020. Parvez also worked at Absolute Software as a Senior QA Engineer from January 2017 to September 2019.

Parvez'swork experience includes serving as a QA Engineer at GE Digital from February 2014 to January 2017 and as a Software Developer in Test and Research Coop at SAP in 2013 and 2012 respectively.

Parvez's earlier work experience includes roles such as House Staff at Alma Mater Society of UBC Vancouver from August 2011 to April 2012 and Crew Member at Tim Hortons for a brief period in November and December 2011.

Parvez'scareer began at Genuity Systems Limited in February 2010, where they worked as a Software Engineer. During this role, they contributed to the development of an online-based data backup system, collaborating with a team of four software engineers to construct an in-house framework, conducting unit testing and automated user-acceptance testing, and responding to customer needs.

Throughout their career, Parvez has gained extensive experience in quality assurance, software development, and team collaboration.

Parvez Islam obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Software Engineering from the American International University-Bangladesh, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. In 2011, they pursued a Master's Degree in Master of Software Systems from The University of British Columbia, concluding their studies in 2012. Parvez then engaged in part-time studies at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, focusing on Java and Java Web from 2016 to 2017. Recently, in 2021, they enrolled in Ankara University to study Turkish Language, expected to finish in 2022.
