Jason "JB" Bass, MFA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the footwear industry. Jason “JB” Bass, is currently the Footwear Design Director and Developer at Ride Concepts, a mountain bike specific footwear company. In this role, they are responsible for leading the design and development of footwear products.

Prior to their current position, Jason worked as a Footwear Designer, Developer, Advisor, Consultant, and Creative Director at SUITE 2206 | JB LAB. Jason “JB” Bass, provided their expertise and creative input in various capacities.

Jason also gained valuable experience as a Footwear Designer at Trek Bicycle, where they were involved in designing and developing road and mountain cycling shoes. Jason “JB” Bass, handled all aspects of the design process, from concept design to spec-package to final confirmation samples.

Furthermore, Jason served as a Design Consultant for snowboard boots at Nidecker SA and Flow Sports, Inc. In these roles, they conducted consumer research and delivered market-forward competitive ideation packages, color stories, graphics, and materials.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked as a Sr. Designer at Marmot, where they focused on performance trail running and training footwear categories. Jason “JB” Bass, conducted consumer research and translated it into market-forward competitive ideation packages.

Jason also served as a Senior Footwear Designer at Zoot Sports USA, where they focused on performance footwear for running and triathlete categories. Jason “JB” Bass, conducted consumer research and delivered market-forward competitive ideation packages.

Additionally, Jason worked as a Multi-Brand/Multi-Category Sr. Designer at K2 Sports, where they played a crucial role in defining product collection design ethos and mentoring the design team. Jason “JB” Bass, conducted consumer research and converted advance ideation sketches into spec packages.

Before joining K2 Sports, Jason worked as a Sr. Designer at Ride Snowboards, where they contributed to the design of snowboard products.

Jason's professional journey started with the establishment of SUITE 2206 | JB LAB, their own creative studio. Jason “JB” Bass, founded the studio in 2001 and served as the Founder, Principal, and Creative Director. The studio gained recognition for its unique and independent approach to footwear design.

Jason "JB" Bass, MFA attended Wilkes University from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Fine Arts. Following that, they pursued further education at the Academy of Art University from 1999 to 2002 and obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fine Arts.
