Bria Pierre is a dedicated academic and professional currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Richmond Public Schools since July 2024. Concurrently, Bria is a Graduate Researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing on thesis dissertation research related to NASH-driven Hepatocellular Carcinoma in females. Bria's experience includes roles as an Academic Tutor and Supplemental Instructor, facilitating peer-assisted study sessions, and as a Senior Supplemental Instruction Leader. Additionally, Bria has accumulated observational experience at VCU Health, shadowing General and Cancer Genetic Counselors. With a strong background in basketball administration through the Farmwell Station Basketball League and customer service experience at Chick-fil-A Corporate, Bria's educational journey includes a Master's degree in Human and Molecular Genetics in progress, following a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics. Bria completed secondary education with an Advanced Studies Diploma from Broad Run High School.
