José Ré

José Ré has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. José has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career.

From 2013, José Ré has been a Board Member of the International Seed Federation. José has also served as a Member of the Illegal Seed Practices Coordination Group and the Intellectual Property Coordination Group. Additionally, they were the Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee and a Member of the Breeders Committee, both at the International Seed Federation. José'swork with the International Seed Federation continues, with their most recent role starting in October 2021 as a Board Member.

Prior to their involvement with the International Seed Federation, José Ré worked at RiceTec, Inc. as the Vice President of Global New Products Development, Director of Pesquisa Mercosul RiceTec Sementes LTDA, Research & Technology Lead, and Sr. Director of Hybrid Research. In 2006, José Ré became a Member of the Intellectual Property Committee and the International Executive Committee at the American Seed Trade Association. José later became the Chair of the International Executive Committee and a Member of the Board of Directors in 2014.

José Ré has a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from Oregon State University, which they obtained from 1984 to 1987. José also holds a Master's Degree in Seed Production from California State University, Fresno, earned between 1981 and 1984. José completed an Executive Program in Business Administration and Management from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business in 2011. In addition, they attended IAE Business School in 1997, where they studied Business Administration and Direction (PIDE). José Ré obtained their initial degree, an Ingeniero Agronomo, from Universidad Nacional de Rosario between 1973 and 1978. There is no available information about their education at LMGB.
