Joel Villarino is a dedicated computer science and statistics student at Rice University, anticipated to graduate in May 2026. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant for COMP 215, Villarino also works as a Software Developer at RiceApps, contributing to the development of Bunkmate, a React-based web application for off-campus housing. Previous experience includes a Software Development Internship at Paycom, where Villarino developed an iOS job search app, and a Research Assistant role in the DeLucia Visual Perception Lab, focusing on VR applications for testing reaction times in individuals with vision loss. Additionally, Villarino has experience in managing housing logistics as a Summer Conference Assistant at Rice University.
